UWF ranks high in robotics at regional competition

A team of seven electrical and computer engineering students from the University of West Florida on the Emerald Coast placed fourth overall and first among the Florida State University System at the Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers SoutheastCon Hardware Competition, held April 9-12, 2015, in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Cox to present free computers as part of Connect2Compete program

Cox Communications is happy to announce that it will present 50 Gulf Coast families with a free refurbished desktop computer during two events along the Gulf Coast this week, as part of the Connect2Compete program. In order to receive the computer, families had to show a commitment to their student’s education, by signing up for the Connect2Compete program during the months of February and March. The families will stop by Cox offices during the events listed below to pick up their free computer:
